Realised projects

Since it was first established, the RDA has taken part in a wide range of projects funded through the EU Phare programme and other international programmes, projects financed by the Czech Ministry for Regional Development, and a range of commercial projects for municipalities. Since the Czech Republic’s accession to the European Union in 2004, the RDA has also been involved in projects financed from EU structural funds and initiatives or from national operational programmes, as well as participating in a range of international projects.

Programmes for project funding:

  • Joint Regional Operational Programme (JROP) – a key part of the RDA’s activities has been the preparation of applications, feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Operational Programme Infrastructure – the RDA drew up a complete application package.
  • Operational Programme Human Resources Development – the RDA drew up a complete application package and has been a participant in several projects.
  • Operational Programme Environment – the RDA drew up a project application.
  • Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise – Real Estate programme (2004 – 2007) • Interdepartmental committee, Ministry for Regional Development
  • Interreg initiative
  • CBC Phare – feasibility study
  • NP Phare 2003 – the RDA drew up complete project application packages and organized selection processes.
  • Preparation of strategic Regional development documents
  • International projects – the RDA’s international projects generally focus on sharing experiences and creating networks of contacts Europe-wide. These projects are run as part of European programmes, and have included the Interreg IIIC Industrial Change Network, INCORD, S3, More Co-operation, Fit for Europe and Europe Autoparts, supporting international contacts among small and medium enterprises. The RDA is also involved in the NICE project, financed through the 6th EU Framework Programme for science and research. The project focuses on sharing experience among European ICT (information and telecommunication technologies) clusters. Other partners from the Region are also invited to participate in these international projects; the results of the projects are presented at Regional seminars involving international partners, and best practice is offered for wider application throughout the Region as well as being directly implemented in the ongoing work of the RDA itself.
  • Phare 2000 investment projects
  • Moravian-Silesian Region enterprise support
  • COP 96 – on the basis of the successful completion of projects funded via the Phare 1992 national programme, a further € 2 million was accessed from Phare 1996 for the continuing programme to support the restructuring of the North Moravia and Silesia region. The role of the RDA was the same as in the COP 1992 project – it acted as the programme’s management unit, responsible for preparing, coordinating, implementing and financing projects.
  • COP 92 – when it was established in 1993, the RDA was appointed as the management unit for the Phare programme, entrusted with € 2 million for projects supporting regional restructuring. The RDA was responsible for preparing projects – including all necessary documents for the approval of Phare funding, securing suppliers for individual projects, and monitoring progress on projects including their financing.
As part of its core activities, the RDA has also organized and participated in a wide range of important events (conferences, forums, workshops, seminars) – for more details follow this link.
